Slideshows and Schedules

Alo- Honestly, I don't have much to share this week. I am doing well and the work is going. Next week we will be more busy with Zone Conference and some exchanges. As for today, we are just going to take things slow before some busy weeks.  The only pictures I have are screenshots of slideshows and schedules :) .  Have a great week!  Anh Cả Reynolds  From Sally: Here is a picture of the area he is in. He lives on a small island on a lake i n the middle of Hanoi. For Zone Conference next week, he will fly to Saigon which is a two-hour flight south.

An Enjoyable Easter

Alo, Happy Easter! Honestly, not too much happened this week. We did our typical missionary work and had a fun exchange with our Zone Leaders. We called over 60 referrals, and I can still hear the ringing in my ears. Since we cover the whole country we get a lot of people to call, which is pretty fun. One moment you are talking with someone who can only speak Hmong living in the mountains by the border in China, the next you are on video call with someone on his banana plantation deep in Southern Vietnam, then someone in central Vietnam hanging out on the beach. It is interesting -- and humbling -- to hear the different dialects.  This week the Hanoi District had a Easter Activity in the park. We met together to eat Bánh Mỳ sandwiches and socialize with members. After finding a large stick, the classic "Stick-Pull Competition" activity became a big hit. Elder Webster, a senior missionary in Hà Đông brought his cowboy gear and rope to teach people how to wrangle cattle, or a...

Trailblazing Training With Trường

Alo -  You learn a lot of different skills and talents on your mission.  Who knew that increasing your typing "Word-Per-Minute" speed would be one of them?  I think I can confidently say after this week, following preparing many agendas and slideshows, my type-speed has increased.  Jokes aside -  It has been a wonderful week welcoming the new transfer, new missionaries, and watching General Conference with many friends. It has been a successful, busy week. Elder Trường and I also realized we are both on each others email list, so we are basically going to be writing the same thing, so if you're subscribed to both of us you are in for a treat.  Now we can passive aggressively talk about each other.  Monday,  which feels like ages ago,  had the departure of my previous companion Elder Esplin. He did a wonderful job leading the mission and being a good example to me. I truly enjoyed the time I spent with him and learned a lot. New missiona...

Busy Blur

Alo- This week I have done an extraordinary job writing in my journal daily, so I would be able to remember everything that I have done in great detail. Unfortunately, I was so tired that some of my writing is incomprehensible. I still have many highlights and stories to share from the week, so we will keep it brief:  Monday: We had our successful Golf Zone P-Day and people seemed to have a good time. It was clear many of us were not very good golfers -- including me -- who has been going consistently for 5 weeks for 2-3 hours at a time. What can I say after playing golf for at least 13 hours?  I should probably stick to planes.  Our senior missionaries played extremely well however, with President Howell and Elder Adams getting some of the farthest and most accurate hits. Needless to say, we were all humbled and once again in awe of our amazing Senior Missionaries.  Tuesday: Woke up to a Messenger Text message from my bruder, Elder J Dildine, requesting help ...
